Caeli Opali Cantus Primus (Samhain Dream Thaw 15 of 15 Quindecim ex Quindecim) — Sherpa Fleece Blanket
“The Warmth of Light, The Softness of Being” is River Jade Smithy’s invitation to rest with the work. Caeli Opali Cantus Primus (Samhain Dream Thaw 15 of 15 Quindecim ex Quindecim) brings its particular printed field to this Sherpa Fleece Blanket.
Cobalt oval medallions with green, yellow and violet centres lie over brown-and-cream ornament. A broad flat spread shows the spaces between them, while a fold exposes the plain cream plush reverse.
Form and material

- RJS product sizes: 50 × 60 in and 60 × 80 in

Collecting the work
Compare the cobalt medallions here with Caeli Opali Cantus Primus 1 Sherpa Fleece Blanket, whose teal, cobalt and violet forms sit more closely together, and Caeli Opali Cantus Primus 14 Sherpa Fleece Blanket, where green and teal ovals carry warm rims. The blanket construction stays the same; colour and spacing change the encounter.
Original artwork by River Jade Smith Travis “Doby” Huffaker, offered through River Jade Smithy. The blanket form is supplied through Printify.
Choosing coverage
Choose 50 × 60 in for the more compact rectangle, or 60 × 80 in when you want 10 in more width and 20 in more length. Measure the chair, lap or resting space you want to cover rather than treating either option as a body size. These are nominal dimensions: the supplier allows a size variance of ±3 in on this pre-constructed blanket.
From the Atelier
River Jade Smithy’s original invitation, “The Warmth of Light, The Softness of Being,” belongs to the story of this blanket form. Caeli Opali Cantus Primus (Samhain Dream Thaw 15 of 15 Quindecim ex Quindecim) gives that invitation its own printed presence. The originating offer also names the form Stragulum Villosum Sherpae.
