Pure Candy Dressing Gown — Sequence #10
Pure Candy Sequence 10 stacks purple and magenta rows across a dark charcoal-green ground. A central green column interrupts the horizontal rhythm, while small lime marks add brighter points without overtaking the deeper field. The wrap-front gown makes the meeting of horizontal rows and vertical center especially visible.
The artwork on the gown
At the center, stacked purple-magenta rows intersect a dark green vertical column. The palette combines dark charcoal-green ground, purple and magenta horizontal rows, small lime-green motifs.
The gown form
The wrap-front gown has a dark shawl-style collar, long sleeves, waist tie and front pockets.
Living with the work
This piece carries a strong color conversation rather than a single focal motif. In a Pure Candy collection, its magenta-green tension can sit beside the more restrained navy Sequence 11 as a deliberately brighter turn. River Jade Smithy treats this as original artwork by Travis Huffaker carried into a useful house layer for preparation, rest, return, and the quieter intervals around a day.
With gratitude for your presence in the work, may this piece serve as both useful form and a continuing encounter with the art.
