Pure Candy Dressing Gown — Sequence #17
Pure Candy Sequence 17 shifts from turquoise into antique gold and olive. Broad brown lattice cells organize the ground while a green-and-orange vertical flourish gives the center its strongest color. The result is warm, aged-looking geometry with a living green note running through it.
The artwork on the gown
At the center is a green and orange vertical flourish framed by broad antique-gold lattice cells. The palette combines antique-gold and olive ground, brown lattice outlines, green and orange center accents.
The gown form
The wrap-front gown has a dark shawl-style collar, long sleeves, waist tie and front pockets.
Living with the work
Sequence 17 closes this early artwork sequence with a grounded, gold-olive register. Collected with Sequence 16, it makes the family’s cool-to-warm turn especially clear. River Jade Smithy treats this as original artwork by Travis Huffaker carried into a useful house layer for preparation, rest, return, and the quieter intervals around a day.
With gratitude for your presence in the work, may this piece serve as both useful form and a continuing encounter with the art.
