Pure Candy Alchemic Sequence 2 Terry Toweling Dressing Gown
Pure Candy Sequence 2 is the nearly nocturnal member of this family. Charcoal-black vertical texture carries only sparse olive-green flourishes, especially near the lower front, sleeve ends, and a quiet band below the back waist. The robe reads dark from a distance and gives its green detail only on a closer look.
The artwork on the gown
The palette combines charcoal black and deep gray. The pattern features near-black vertical texture. Across the back, the pattern includes sparse green flourishes.
The gown form
The wrap-front gown has a dark shawl-style collar, long sleeves, waist tie and front pockets.
Living with the work
Choose it when you want the gown form to carry the artwork quietly. Within the Pure Candy sequence it offers a useful counterpoint to the brighter chartreuse, turquoise, and copper members. River Jade Smithy treats this as original artwork by Travis Huffaker carried into a useful house layer for preparation, rest, return, and the quieter intervals around a day.
With gratitude for your presence in the work, may this piece serve as both useful form and a continuing encounter with the art.
