Pure Candy Dressing Gown — Sequence #6
Pure Candy Sequence 6 is an electric chartreuse study. Lime and yellow-green fill the gown, teal-green rectangular bands organize the field, and a jade-blue medallion-like axis carries small orange notes through the center. The wrap form gives those bright registers room to repeat without losing the central ornament.
The artwork on the gown
At the center is a bright jade and blue medallion-like axis surrounded by chartreuse micro-patterning. The palette combines vivid chartreuse and lime ground, teal-green rectangular bands, jade, blue, and orange center marks.
The gown form
The wrap-front gown has a dark shawl-style collar, long sleeves, waist tie and front pockets.
Living with the work
This is one of the family’s clearest color-forward pieces. If you collect across Pure Candy, it makes a vivid companion study to the darker forest and indigo sequences without needing to imitate them. River Jade Smithy treats this as original artwork by Travis Huffaker carried into a useful house layer for preparation, rest, return, and the quieter intervals around a day.
With gratitude for your presence in the work, may this piece serve as both useful form and a continuing encounter with the art.
