Pure Candy Dressing Gown — Sequence #9
Pure Candy Sequence 9 works almost entirely through charcoal, silver gray, and pale geometry. A mirrored diamond structure rises out of a fine dark micro-pattern, with chevrons and lighter cells becoming visible as you look more closely. The black structural trim of the gown lets the silver-gray field remain disciplined rather than decorative for decoration’s sake.
The artwork on the gown
At the center is a silver-gray mirrored diamond structure emerging from the charcoal micro-pattern. The palette combines charcoal and silver-gray ground, pale geometric chevrons and diamonds, black structural trim.
The gown form
The wrap-front gown has a dark shawl-style collar, long sleeves, waist tie and front pockets.
Living with the work
Choose Sequence 9 when the architecture of the pattern matters more than saturated color. Within Pure Candy, it is a natural collecting counterpart to the darker near-black Sequence 2. River Jade Smithy treats this as original artwork by Travis Huffaker carried into a useful house layer for preparation, rest, return, and the quieter intervals around a day.
With gratitude for your presence in the work, may this piece serve as both useful form and a continuing encounter with the art.
