WindSong Flower Fabric #1 Dressing Gown
WindSong Flower Fabric #1 Dressing Gown is distinguished within its family by the brightest yellow-led WindSong Flower gown, with a strongly ornamented upper back and red-orange floral edging. The visible palette brings golden yellow, olive green, forest green, red-orange accents. Recurring forms include mirrored tree-like vertical forms, small floral clusters, dark ornamental border bands.
The gown’s long sleeves, overlapping front, dark shawl-style collar and tied waist give the artwork a broad, wearable field, while the rear view lets the composition continue across the back rather than ending at the front panels. It can serve as an artwork-bearing house layer: quiet enough in form to let the print lead, yet substantial enough to become the center of a home or evening look.
Within WindSong Flower, Fabric #1 makes this gown one numbered station in a larger artwork sequence. The matching WindSong Flower Fabric #1 long-sleeve T-shirt offers a same-artwork collection study in a different form. Original artwork by River Jade Smith Travis “Doby” Huffaker. Thank you for spending time with the work.

A golden botanical layer
For an at-home layering study, try the WindSong Flower Fabric #1 Dressing Gown open over the WindSong Flower Fabric #1 long-sleeve T-shirt. The shirt’s burgundy-green front rosette gives the opening a clear center, while yellow, green and red-orange flowers continue the gown’s botanical conversation. Let the gown’s dark collar frame that center; its ornamented back remains the outer view. This brings two arrangements of Travis’s artwork into one composition without asking their printed borders to line up.
