Bronze, rust, umber, fuchsia
This edition carries Seventh WindSong Flower. Bronze, rust and dark umber form a dense radial and filamented ground. Large hot-fuchsia blossom-like forms and curling paisley arcs appear as bold accents, with occasional silver-blue flecks inside the brown weave.
Form & making
Fitted Glitter Yoga Shorts with a high-rise waistband and a six-inch inseam. The artwork continues across the waistband and garment panels.
Artwork by River Jade Smith Travis Huffaker. Each pair is made on demand with Art of Where in Montreal, Canada.
Fabric & finish
Glitter Performance Knit combines 88% polyester with 12% spandex, with a shimmering surface for the printed artwork.
Fit & body measurements
Choose your size using your waist and hip measurements. These ranges describe the body, not the finished garment.
The supplier’s US size labels follow its women’s sizing convention. Measurements are approximate, and handmade pieces may vary.
Measure around your natural waist and the fullest part of your hips with a flexible tape. Compare both measurements with the ranges below.
The six-inch inseam describes the inside-leg length from the crotch seam to the hem.
| Size | US size | Waist | Hips |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 0–2 | 24–26 | 33–35 |
| S | 4–6 | 26–29 | 35–37 |
| M | 8–10 | 29–32 | 38–40 |
| L | 12–14 | 33–37 | 41–43 |
| XL | 16 | 37–42 | 43–46 |
| XXL | 20–22 | 42–44 | 46–50 |
Care for the piece
Care for Glitter Performance Knit: wash warm using phosphate-free detergent. Tumble dry medium to high or hang to dry. If ironing is needed, use a synthetic setting.
The artwork & a closer look
The front places large fuchsia blossom-like forms on both thighs and smaller pink curls near the waistband. Bronze radial lines converge and diverge around the center front. The center seam divides the radial weave and clips pink floral edges; the waistband seam separates upper curls from lower blossoms. The flowers widen over the outer thighs while the bronze filaments compress near the crotch. The back is dominated by a broad bronze radial burst across the seat, with fuchsia scrolls and blossoms pushed toward the outer sides and waistband. The rear seam splits the radial burst into mirrored halves; the waistband transition crops magenta curls. Seat curvature opens the bronze burst and draws the pink accents around both hips. The profile features one large fuchsia blossom and curling magenta arcs over a bronze-brown field of fine radial lines. Side shaping cuts through the blossom and paisley arcs; the waistband seam separates smaller upper marks. The blossom broadens across the hip and narrows down the side thigh. The opposite profile shows a second large fuchsia blossom turning across the seat-side plane, with bronze filaments and magenta curls descending toward the hem. The side panel and waistband edges crop the large flower into partial forms. The flower opens across the seat and compresses vertically toward the leg opening.
Explore all four supplied views to follow the artwork around the front, back and sides. The seams and curves change how the print meets across the panels.

River Jade Smithy's poetic welcome
The Art of Where Room for the Living
Come, fellow traveler, leave room in your day;
The Grail Smith has colour to set on its way.
A curve caught in copper, a gleam held in stone,
May travel in cloth without losing its home.
Remember the hands where the first marks began,
The long, patient looking no measure can span.
Let River Jade Smithy's clear signature stay
As the work finds new places to enter the day.
In Montréal, lengths of printed cloth lie
Like gardens unrolled beneath somebody's eye.
The cutter attends to the shape they will take;
The needle draws near, and the quiet seams wake.
Here is the art of a where still to come:
A scarf at a doorway, the street's waking hum;
A skirt in the turning of music and feet;
A flash of a story where strangers may meet.
Carry the image; let weather and hour
Change how you notice its branch and its flower.
An angle of silver, a fold touched by sun—
The looking continues when making is done.
And when someone asks what the colours might mean,
Give room to the creature their own eyes have seen.
Tell where it started; then listen awhile:
The tale may grow wider in somebody's smile.
Let Green Worth take root in the things that we do:
Make room for repair; let care carry us through.
Learn what the cloth needs. Let the old keep a place
Beside what is new in the life we embrace.
The Earth is our hearth, with its rain at the sill,
Its roots in the dark and its birds on the hill.
May the wealth that we gather leave others their share—
Clean water, a refuge, a future to bear.
So bring to this fellowship something of you:
A name for a wonder, a kindness made true.
Let Loved be the welcome we practise and give,
With room for another, and room still to live.
The road leaves the workshop; the door opens wide.
Take story and colour out into the tide
Of mornings and meetings, of lives everywhere—
And help make a world that has room for us there.
