Samhain Dream Thaw 2 of 15 Duo ex Quindecim — Picnic Blanket
Compact ornament gives Samhain Dream Thaw 2 of 15 Duo ex Quindecim a closely worked surface. Small medallion-like repeats gather into taupe-and-cream bands, with brighter stepped lines interrupting the darker detail.
The upright repeats are packed closely from side to side. Across the upper and lower portions, pale zigzag-like passages create pauses in the pattern without turning it into separate pictures. A dark perimeter follows the blanket’s rounded corners.

Living with the work
Choose the second work when you enjoy a busy patterned surface that rewards looking nearby. For the journey home, the face folds inward, leaving the plain black reverse and carrying handle on the outside of the rolled blanket.
Collecting the work
Set the first and second Samhain Dream Thaw Picnic Blankets beside one another to compare the spacing of their bands. Number 2 has compact ornamental repetition; number 1 gives its lighter breaks more room to register.
