Samhain Dream Thaw 5 of 15 Quinque ex Quindecim — Picnic Blanket
Round, rosette-like ornaments line the upper edge of Samhain Dream Thaw 5 of 15 Quinque ex Quindecim. Below them, finer repeats gather into a rippling neutral field crossed by a pale central passage.
The broad face mixes rounded motifs with narrower, closely worked rows rather than carrying one motif unchanged from top to bottom. Taupe, brown and cream details become easier to distinguish when the blanket is laid open with its printed side upward.
Form and material
- 100% polyester fleece front
- 100% black water-resistant oxford-cloth back
- one size: 61 × 51 in (155 × 129.5 cm)
- black carrying strap with buckles
- one-sided print
Care: Machine wash separately cold (max 30°C / 90°F), gentle cycle; do not bleach; tumble dry low; do not iron; do not dry clean.
Living with the work
Choose number 5 for the change of scale between its upper round ornaments and the smaller pattern below. Spread out, that progression is visible at once; rolled with the black side out, the work becomes a compact bundle held by its strap.
Collecting the work
Compare number 5 with Samhain Dream Thaw 1 to move between rounded upper motifs and more pronounced stacked bands. The relationship is a collecting invitation within the numbered sequence, not an assertion of identical artwork.
