Pure Candy Dressing Gown — Sequence #4
Pure Candy Sequence 4 turns inward toward deep slate-indigo. Muted violet structures cross the dark field, and a low-contrast olive-lime branching form emerges near the wrap front and repeats more faintly across the back. The effect is less about sharp contrast than about finding green life inside a dark ground.
The artwork on the gown
At the center is a low-contrast olive-lime branching form emerging through the dark indigo field. The palette combines deep slate-indigo ground, muted violet structural lines, olive-lime branching accents.
The gown form
The wrap-front gown has a dark shawl-style collar, long sleeves, waist tie and front pockets.
Living with the work
This is a strong evening or house-layer study when you want the print to reveal itself gradually. Collected with Sequence 3, it reverses the balance of pale field and concentrated color. River Jade Smithy treats this as original artwork by Travis Huffaker carried into a useful house layer for preparation, rest, return, and the quieter intervals around a day.
With gratitude for your presence in the work, may this piece serve as both useful form and a continuing encounter with the art.
