Samhain Dream Thaw 1 of 15 Dressing Gown
Samhain Dream Thaw 1 carries clearly spaced rows of small square and rounded medallions in warm taupe-gray. Dense horizontal ornament resolves into distinct bands.
Warm gray, charcoal and pale ivory meet in the closely worked front pattern, framed by the dark shawl collar and tied waist. Turn the gown and the band order continues across the back, with small square rows and pale ornamental strips extending above and below the belt. The long sleeves carry the same lace-like detail.
A shawl collar, long sleeves, waist tie and front pockets give the print a generous architecture. At home, through the rituals of dressing and rest, or as a more theatrical outer layer when the moment invites it, the gown keeps the artwork visible across a broad wearable surface.
This gown belongs to the fifteen-part Samhain Dream Thaw sequence, where related jewelry-born forms change scale, banding and rhythm from one member to the next. The sequence lets one family of forms keep becoming something new across cloth.
