Teal, copper, fuchsia, magenta

This edition carries Eighth WindSong Flower. Hot fuchsia blossoms and scalloped magenta fans sit over turquoise, copper-brown and dark filigree. The pattern alternates between large floral units, layered wave-like borders and fine ornamental mesh, creating a richly stacked rather than uniformly repeated field.

Form & making

Fitted Glitter Yoga Shorts with a high-rise waistband and a six-inch inseam. The artwork continues across the waistband and garment panels.

Artwork by River Jade Smith Travis Huffaker. Each pair is made on demand with Art of Where in Montreal, Canada.

Fabric & finish

Glitter Performance Knit combines 88% polyester with 12% spandex, with a shimmering surface for the printed artwork.

Fit & body measurements

Choose your size using your waist and hip measurements. These ranges describe the body, not the finished garment.

The supplier’s US size labels follow its women’s sizing convention. Measurements are approximate, and handmade pieces may vary.

Measure around your natural waist and the fullest part of your hips with a flexible tape. Compare both measurements with the ranges below.

The six-inch inseam describes the inside-leg length from the crotch seam to the hem.

The artwork & a closer look

The front stacks large fuchsia blossom-like forms and scalloped fans over teal-brown filigree. A central vertical line splits pink and turquoise units before they reopen across both thighs. The center-front seam divides several blossoms; the waistband seam crops the upper fan pattern. Large floral units broaden over the hips and taper into scalloped lower-leg borders. The back emphasizes large fuchsia scallops across the upper seat and bright blossom clusters near the lower sides, with a darker netted field between them. The rear seam bisects the central dark field; the waistband transition separates upper scallops from lower filigree. The scallops widen over the seat and the blossoms turn outward toward the side planes. The profile presents a vertical arrangement of fuchsia blossoms, teal scrolls and copper-brown mesh, with a large pink floral unit near the lower outer thigh. Side shaping fragments the scalloped band and crops several blossom edges. The large blossom opens over the hip-side curve and narrows toward the hem. The opposite profile shows a teal-copper filigree panel crossed by fuchsia blossoms and magenta scallops that wrap from seat to outer thigh. The waistband and side panel edges interrupt the large units into distinct fragments. Scallops broaden across the seat and tighten down the leg.

Explore all four supplied views to follow the artwork around the front, back and sides. The seams and curves change how the print meets across the panels.

River Jade Smithy's poetic welcome

The Art of Where Room for the Living

Come, fellow traveler, leave room in your day;
The Grail Smith has colour to set on its way.
A curve caught in copper, a gleam held in stone,
May travel in cloth without losing its home.

Remember the hands where the first marks began,
The long, patient looking no measure can span.
Let River Jade Smithy's clear signature stay
As the work finds new places to enter the day.

In Montréal, lengths of printed cloth lie
Like gardens unrolled beneath somebody's eye.
The cutter attends to the shape they will take;
The needle draws near, and the quiet seams wake.

Here is the art of a where still to come:
A scarf at a doorway, the street's waking hum;
A skirt in the turning of music and feet;
A flash of a story where strangers may meet.

Carry the image; let weather and hour
Change how you notice its branch and its flower.
An angle of silver, a fold touched by sun—
The looking continues when making is done.

And when someone asks what the colours might mean,
Give room to the creature their own eyes have seen.
Tell where it started; then listen awhile:
The tale may grow wider in somebody's smile.

Let Green Worth take root in the things that we do:
Make room for repair; let care carry us through.
Learn what the cloth needs. Let the old keep a place
Beside what is new in the life we embrace.

The Earth is our hearth, with its rain at the sill,
Its roots in the dark and its birds on the hill.
May the wealth that we gather leave others their share—
Clean water, a refuge, a future to bear.

So bring to this fellowship something of you:
A name for a wonder, a kindness made true.
Let Loved be the welcome we practise and give,
With room for another, and room still to live.

The road leaves the workshop; the door opens wide.
Take story and colour out into the tide
Of mornings and meetings, of lives everywhere—
And help make a world that has room for us there.
