Samhain Dream Thaw 12 of 15 Duodecim ex Quindecim — Picnic Blanket
Samhain Dream Thaw 12 of 15 Duodecim ex Quindecim places pale, pinched ornamental forms against a densely worked brown field, giving the picnic face a lively sequence of rises and falls.
A row of rounded medallion-like shapes begins near the upper edge. Below it, the pale outlines bend inward and out again across broad horizontal bands, with small dark details connecting the larger forms.
Cloth, print and size
Polyester fleece face with black water-resistant oxford-cloth backing. One-sided print. One size: 61 in length × 51 in width (155 cm × 129.5 cm). Black carrying strap with buckles.
Care: Machine wash separately in cold water, gentle cycle; tumble dry low; do not bleach, iron, or dry clean.
Living with the work
Spread the face open for a picnic when you want the pale shapes and darker field to remain visible together. A loose lap fold selects a smaller section; the buckled strap stays separate until you roll the blanket for carrying.
Collecting the work
Set number 12 beside Samhain Dream Thaw 11 to compare the shape of the pale outlines. The twelfth is more pinched and segmented, while the eleventh carries longer enclosed ovals through its two tiers.
Original artwork by River Jade Smith Travis “Doby” Huffaker, offered through River Jade Smithy. The picnic-blanket form is produced through Printify’s District Photo provider.
Coverage and carrying
One size: 61 in length × 51 in width (155 cm × 129.5 cm). The twelfth work’s broad printed accents can be seen without a garment seam interrupting the picnic face. Black backing and a separate carrier provide the practical reverse and carrying arrangement.
From the Atelier
Duodecim ex Quindecim is preserved in the full title of this twelfth Samhain Dream Thaw work. The source offer places the blanket at an outdoor picnic or sporting event; the artwork gives that useful form its individual patterned face.
