Samhain Dream Thaw 13 of 15 Tredecim ex Quindecim — Picnic Blanket
Fine ornament fills Samhain Dream Thaw 13 of 15 Tredecim ex Quindecim, with a lighter cluster of narrow crosswise bands giving the dense field a pause near its middle.
Small taupe, cream and brown motifs repeat through several rows. The central pale passages are closer together than the fuller ornamental bands above and below, making a change of density rather than a blank stripe.
Cloth, print and size
Polyester fleece face with black water-resistant oxford-cloth backing. One-sided print. One size: 61 in length × 51 in width (155 cm × 129.5 cm). Black carrying strap with buckles.
Care: Machine wash separately in cold water, gentle cycle; tumble dry low; do not bleach, iron, or dry clean.
Living with the work
Lay the full face open to follow the change from the central passage to the surrounding ornament. For a seated rest, a shallow fold can keep that lighter band visible while the rest of the blanket lies across the lap.
Collecting the work
Consider Samhain Dream Thaw 13 and 14 together when choosing among the finer patterned works. Number 13 draws attention to its cluster of pale middle bands; number 14 gives more emphasis to the outlines of its repeated medallion-like rows.

Coverage and carrying
One size: 61 in length × 51 in width (155 cm × 129.5 cm). The picnic form allows the thirteenth work’s fine field to extend across a broad rectangle. The visible changes of density come from the print, while the backing remains a separate black surface.
From the Atelier
Tredecim ex Quindecim keeps the thirteenth work’s title intact. Its original Picnic Blanket offer joins River Jade Smithy’s art with a fleece-faced outing blanket and a practical buckled carrying strap.
