Samhain Dream Thaw 6 of 15 Sex ex Quindecim — Picnic Blanket
A finely patterned place to pause: Samhain Dream Thaw 6 of 15 Sex ex Quindecim gathers small ornamental repeats into closely spaced horizontal rows.
Taupe, cream, brown and charcoal sit close together across the fleece face. Rows of oval and pointed medallion-like shapes alternate with narrower passages of fine detail; the dark rounded edge leaves the print as the centre of attention.
Cloth, print and size
Polyester fleece face with black water-resistant oxford-cloth backing. One-sided print. One size: 61 in length × 51 in width (155 cm × 129.5 cm). Black carrying strap with buckles.
Care: Machine wash separately in cold water, gentle cycle; tumble dry low; do not bleach, iron, or dry clean.
Living with the work
Spread the face open to follow the bands from edge to edge. For a shorter seated pause, fold the blanket over a lap and let a few rows become the focus; the separate buckled carrier keeps the rolled blanket together for the journey.
Collecting the work
Consider Samhain Dream Thaw 8 alongside number 6. Both use layered rows of ornament, while the eighth work gives its pale shapes near the upper edge more prominence.
Original artwork by River Jade Smith Travis “Doby” Huffaker, offered through River Jade Smithy. The picnic-blanket form is produced through Printify’s District Photo provider.
Coverage and carrying
One size: 61 in length × 51 in width (155 cm × 129.5 cm). The full picnic rectangle gives these small repeats enough room to form a sequence of bands. A fold changes the portion you see without changing the printed work itself.
From the Atelier
Sex ex Quindecim names the sixth work in the Samhain Dream Thaw sequence. The preserved product description presents the blanket for a picnic or sporting event; the separate carrying strap belongs to that practical outing form.
