Samhain Dream Thaw 7 of 15 Septem ex Quindecim — Picnic Blanket
Long, intricate columns give Samhain Dream Thaw 7 of 15 Septem ex Quindecim a different pace: broad ornamental forms stretch through the picnic blanket’s printed face.
Pale outlines open around darker brown and charcoal interiors. Taller shapes meet across the width in a closely joined field, with rounded medallion-like detail near the upper edge and smaller ornament between the larger forms.
Cloth, print and size
Polyester fleece face with black water-resistant oxford-cloth backing. One-sided print. One size: 61 in length × 51 in width (155 cm × 129.5 cm). Black carrying strap with buckles.
Care: Machine wash separately in cold water, gentle cycle; tumble dry low; do not bleach, iron, or dry clean.
Living with the work
Open this blanket fully when you want to see the long forms together. For a seated evening, let a loose fold bring one part of the pattern close; roll the blanket with the plain black reverse outward when it is time to carry it away.
Collecting the work
Compare number 7 with Samhain Dream Thaw 10. The seventh work draws out its upright shapes into longer columns, while the tenth divides related-looking ornament into more clearly separated crosswise rows.
Original artwork by River Jade Smith Travis “Doby” Huffaker, offered through River Jade Smithy. The picnic-blanket form is produced through Printify’s District Photo provider.
Coverage and carrying
One size: 61 in length × 51 in width (155 cm × 129.5 cm). A broad, flat picnic face lets the tall printed forms remain visible together. The blanket is still a backed rectangle with a carrying strap, rather than a fitted wrap or a length of open lace.
From the Atelier
Septem ex Quindecim remains with the seventh numbered Samhain Dream Thaw work. Its Picnic Blanket offer brings the artwork into the original practical invitation: a place for a picnic, a sporting event or a seated pause.
