Samhain Dream Thaw 9 of 15 Novem ex Quindecim — Picnic Blanket
Follow the crosswise rhythm of Samhain Dream Thaw 9 of 15 Novem ex Quindecim: pale scalloped passages interrupt a densely patterned brown-and-taupe face.
Small upright ornaments repeat through the darker bands, while lighter curves trace several routes across them. A pale passage near the upper edge and another lower down give the rectangle distinct changes of pace.
Cloth, print and size
Polyester fleece face with black water-resistant oxford-cloth backing. One-sided print. One size: 61 in length × 51 in width (155 cm × 129.5 cm). Black carrying strap with buckles.
Care: Machine wash separately in cold water, gentle cycle; tumble dry low; do not bleach, iron, or dry clean.
Living with the work
Lay the blanket open to follow those pale passages across its width. A lap fold can bring the dense lower detail closer while you sit; when packed, the plain black reverse and short carrying handle take the place of the visible print.
Collecting the work
Consider Samhain Dream Thaw 6 beside number 9. The smaller repetitions of the sixth work make a useful visual comparison with the ninth work’s more pronounced pale crosswise passages.
Original artwork by River Jade Smith Travis “Doby” Huffaker, offered through River Jade Smithy. The picnic-blanket form is produced through Printify’s District Photo provider.
Coverage and carrying
One size: 61 in length × 51 in width (155 cm × 129.5 cm). The picnic rectangle holds both the pale crosswise routes and the denser bands below them. Its separate carrier is for the rolled blanket and is removed when the face is spread open.
From the Atelier
Novem ex Quindecim keeps the ninth work’s authored title with this Picnic Blanket. The preserved product description presents the blanket for a picnic or sporting event, letting a practical blanket also carry the artist’s patterned work. Original artwork by River Jade Smith Travis “Doby” Huffaker, offered through River Jade Smithy. The blanket form is produced through Printify’s District Photo provider.
